Behind the brand name

Why Beloved Creations?

When I was younger, I loved collecting key rings and I found one explaining the origins of my name - Amy is an Anglicised version of Old French Amée, which was a form of the Latin name Amata, meaning ‘beloved’. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

For this reason I’ve always had an affinity with the word and it seemed fitting to use it in the brand name, as each item is individually designed and illustrated by me (plus, my cards are a great way to showcase your love!)

I've adored stationery, letter-writing and making my own unique cards to send to loved ones' ever since I can remember. I still have people send me pictures of old cards they received and it makes me even more confident that this is the path I was meant for (and also just how far I've come!)

I’ve known from the start that I wanted to create a whole range of items (not just cards/prints), which is why I chose ‘creations’ over a more specific word. The ‘blvd’ part is purely a shorter nickname (and the only similar Instagram/website name I could get my hands on!)

Hopefully this gives you a little insight into the 'why' behind my brand name. If you run a small business, I'd love to hear your story too (comment here!).

Love,
Amy
